Welcome to Parkgrove Funeral Directors

In 2023, Parkgrove Funeral Directors was established with a heartfelt mission: to provide compassionate, personalised funeral services to our community. Our journey began on the grounds of Parkgrove Crematorium, a site that has been a cornerstone of the Angus community for over 30 years.

For three decades, Parkgrove Crematorium has served as a place of solace and remembrance for countless families. We are deeply honored to continue this tradition, building on the strong foundation of trust and care that has been established here. Our connection to the local community runs deep, and we are committed to offering the same compassionate service that has been a hallmark of this site for so long.

We understand the importance of honouring each life with dignity and respect, and we are proud to serve the families of Angus with the care and dedication they deserve.

Meet the Team

  • Ken Parke | Managing Director

Ken Parke, the Managing Director at Parkgrove, has been a visionary leader since he founded the business in 1993. With a deep commitment to innovation and environmental sustainability, Ken has continually pushed the boundaries of traditional funeral services. Under his leadership, Parkgrove became the first to develop the first modern electric cremator, significantly reducing the environmental impact of cremation. His forward-thinking approach ensures that Parkgrove remains at the forefront of eco-friendly practices in the industry.

Ken’s dedication to sustainability doesn’t stop with electric cremators. He has also overseen the installation of a state-of-the-art solar energy system that powers the entire site. By harnessing renewable energy generated on-site, Parkgrove is Net Zero in terms of carbon footprint, reflecting Ken’s lifelong commitment to protecting the environment. His innovative spirit and dedication to green practices have made Parkgrove not only a leader in the funeral industry but also a model for environmentally conscious business operations.

Our Values

Committed to Our Community

At Parkgrove Funeral Directors, our commitment to the Angus community goes beyond providing compassionate funeral services. We believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for over 30 years, and our involvement in local initiatives is a reflection of that dedication.

One of our proudest contributions is our sponsorship of the home end Stadium at Arbroath Football Club. As a longstanding part of the Angus community, we understand the importance of supporting local sports and the positive impact it has on bringing people together. Our sponsorship helps to ensure that Arbroath FC continues to thrive, fostering community spirit and providing enjoyment for fans of all ages.

In addition to our support for local sports, we are also deeply committed to environmental sustainability and charitable giving. At Parkgrove Crematorium, we recycle all metals recovered during the cremation process. These metals are sent to Orthometals, a company that specialises in recycling materials from cremations. Any money received from this recycling is donated to local causes, allowing us to contribute to the well-being of our community in a meaningful way. This initiative not only reflects our commitment to sustainability but also ensures that the proceeds are used to support local charities and projects that benefit those in need.

Through these efforts, Parkgrove Funeral Directors is proud to play a role in enhancing the quality of life in Angus, demonstrating our ongoing dedication to the community that we are honored to serve.
